What a busy time I have had!! Wonderful school visit with Durrington Junior School in Wiltshire. Read to each class from the new book (manuscript), explained the process of publishing a book and gave them a work sheet to complete their own reviews and illustrations. I now have the completed work sheets. How hard have these children worked? I am so delighted with their efforts I will be giving more than two prizes. Well done you lot.
New book for Christmas 2016!
This one is about the world famous monument Stonehenge. I have concentrated particularly on a Bluestone which is believed to have been carried all the way from the Preseli Mountains in Wales. There is a twist to the story of past and present with the main character Luke, a 15 year old school boy who is not keen on the idea of a school trip to a "bunch of old stones"!!
Purbeck Pirate Festival 29th to 31st July 2016
What can I say! It has been a fabulous event. To have by book stand on the water front with a wonderful view was a great treat. This was the first event for The Swanage Pier Trust and they have done a great job.
A big thank you to all the volunteers who made us feel so welcome and help us in any way they could.
Also a massive thanks to all those lovely people who bought books and took the time to chat. Best event to date.
2nd Edition Big Belly Oak! Proving ever popular. Although originally written for adults to read at bedtime the book proved popular with older children too. So, there has been a layout change for ease of reading, an additional story and more images.
Two school visits planned for March as part of their World Book Day. Always fun.
Old Harry Rock and Tales of the Jurassic Coast is here and is doing great. Dorset is loving it!

March 2015 Robert Sandilands Primary School Newbury Berkshire.
Fab school, fab children, fab teachers!
I had my photo taken with two classes in front of their very own ancient oak tree, even their school badge is an oak tree. Very apt. A clever bunch I must say.
March 2015 Sparsholt Primary School Winchester.
A really warm and caring school in a beautiful location. What a welcome. I read to the whole school of approx. 150 students. The children asked great questions and there are definitely budding authors amongst them.
Harriet is here!
Fanastic two day Launch at the Christmas Tree Market weekend in Burbage Wiltshire.
Amazing response to Harriet, she flew off the shelves!!!!
13th January 2015 St Marys Infant School Marlborough Wiltshire. What a lovely school with such a warm welcome from children and teachers alike. Year 1, 2 and the reception class asked really good questions and were so well behaved. A credit to the school. After listening to stories from the Savernake Big Belly Oak, the children came up with these words. Well done!
The huge, green tree is fat with a wide, metal belt.
In the pitch black its shadows look dark and gloomy.
The forest is beautiful in the glittering, white snow.
Twisted branches like a fierce, baby dragon.
The forest trees are ancient, knobbly and thick.
Damp patterns everywhere.
9th October 2014 Broad Town Pre School Wiltshire. What a welcome those tiny people gave me. Best location to date to read to little ones. They have their own mini forest with fire pit and shelters with plenty of logs to sit on. They are very lucky children. Many thanks for the card and the interesting flowers (ornamental cabbages and lilies.
8th October 2014 Shaw Ridge Primary School Swindon. Looking forward to meeting and reading to the children from the Savernake Big Belly Oak book.
What a great time I had reading to classes Pine and Ash. They certainly kept me on my toes with some great questions. Thank you for making me feel really welcome.
